An adage: Freedom of the press is a wonderful thing, for those who can afford the presses. Newspapers in the USA in financial trouble and should be. The Web has allowed the citizenry to realize their local newspaper has, too often, met the agenda of one or a few persons. The biggest problem is "error of omission." Not necessarily lying but not telling the full story. Warren Buffet is a multi-billionaire in the USA whose wealth competes with Microsoft's Bill Gates. The mass media is quick to grab his utterances and broadcast or print them. Yet, the elite-owned media of all types mostly ignored the following Buffet quote: "There's class warfare, all right, Mr. (Warren) Buffett said, but it's my class, the rich class, that's making war, and we're winning." I agree with Buffet and concluded years ago that from 1972 or so that the USA has been engaged in active class warfare initiated by our elite class, HUGE corporations and others to the detriment of the vast majority of USA citizens. But, the elite-owned mass media does not want to harm its efforts to amass ever-more wealth and power. The Web has given too much power and easy, inexpensive information exchange to the common folks so expect the elites to curtail access to the Web by the average typical citizen. Expect the effort to be disguised as a method of "protecting the children" or to "Combat terrorism," even though the elite-created class war is a far greater threat to the "commoner's" freedoms and security than all foreign terrorists combined. The Web has allowed the citizenry to realize their local newspaper has, too often, met the agenda of one or a few persons.

Warren Buffet is a multi-billionaire in the USA whose wealth competes with Microsoft’s Bill Gates.

The mass media is quick to grab his utterances and broadcast or print them.

Yet, the elite-owned media of all types mostly ignored the following Buffet quote:

“There’s class warfare, all right, Mr. (Warren) Buffett said, but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.”

I agree with Buffet and concluded years ago that from 1972 or so that the USA has been engaged in active class warfare initiated by our elite class, HUGE corporations and others to the detriment of the vast majority of USA citizens.

But, the elite-owned mass media does not want to harm its efforts to amass ever-more wealth and power.

The Web has given too much power and easy, inexpensive information exchange to the common folks so expect the elites to curtail access to the Web by the average typical citizen.

Expect the effort to be disguised as a method of “protecting the children” or to “Combat terrorism,” even though the elite-created class war is a far greater threat to the “commoner’s” freedoms and security than all foreign terrorists combined.
