Geodesic Dog House
I wanted to build the dog a place to sleep indoors to help keep her dander from circulating in the air(I’m mildly allergic), and was thinking of building a geodesic cabin, so thought I would give it a try on smaller scale:
I’m glad I did… In researching geodesic domes I heard mention of problems using spruce and plywood. While I believe it would still be ‘doable’, the accuracy required (+-16th of an inch) to make flawless looking dome(where the plywood triangles meet up) is more work than I would want to do in a cabin. My conclusion after the project is, If I’m going to build an esthetically pleasing dome using a wood frame, I’ll look into using metal connectors vs making wooden triangles and joining them.
